About
Leah C. Stetson is a poet, writer, mixed media artist, folklore-ecologist, and interdisciplinary PhD Candidate based in West Cork. As a multimedia artist, she has a passion for eco-art and crafting stories about people and organizations who engage in water, marine, and wetlands conservation. The Munster Literature Centre short-listed her manuscript, "Metamorphosis," in their Fool for Poetry Chapbook competition in 2025. Leah is a past-honoree poet in the 2019 & 2020 Fish Anthologies (Fish Poetry Prize). She also writes creative nonfiction, science & nature essays, fiction, and hybrid genre work. Some of her marine science illustrations were featured in a US EPA conference on eelgrass (Zostera marina) and other artwork has been published in literary magazines along with her poetry. Leah is also a seasoned astrologer with 35 years of practice. She's an open-water swimmer originally from the coast of Maine, USA.
