Gillian Watt is a creative, working mostly with writing and text but she also makes images. She lived on Oileán Chléire for seven years where she worked as a freelance journalist for the Irish Examiner group (amongst several other jobs!). She has an MA Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge, UK, and an MA Contemporary Religions from University College Cork, Ireland. She has also taught at UCC. She has spent time living with Ashaninka people in a village in the Peruvian Amazon. Gillian is widely published: academic articles; short stories; and poetry, (currently forthcoming in SWERVE literary and Art magazine, Marigolds, poem. https://www.swervemagazine.org/). She is pitching her latest novel at the moment, A Joyful Thing. Gillian studied visual art in Wellington, New Zealand and likes to combine text with image. She is self-publishing poetry chapbooks at CoreCreative to showcase her work.

Gillian can offer writing skills, workshops, read-overs, instant poetry (poetry busking) and can help with the bringing together of multi-media, multi-purpose, projects when they become overwhelming. She is also a trained Art Therapist (St Albans School of Art, Hertfordshire, UK)
